Native::

ScatterCandidateCount

Experimental

Candidates of one (sub-cell, variety): N = ceil(area m² × DensityPer100m2 / 100), at most 2^20.

Declaration

uint32_t ScatterCandidateCount(const FScatterPosts& Posts, const FScatterVariety& Variety, int32_t SubX, int32_t SubY);
Header
#include "Native/TerrainScatter.h"
Module
PublicDependencyModuleNames.Add("OrreryTerrainCore"); in your module’s Build.cs.
Stability
Experimental: supported, may change in a minor version, with a changelog line.
Thread
Tier 1: plain C++, no allocation, deterministic in canonical order (ascending candidate index), any thread. (the header’s rule)

Description

Independent of weights. The grid takes the next square, S² with S = ceil(√N): a density error of at most 2/S, so a low-density grid variety runs denser than its setting.
